Employee safety training is one of the most effective ways to prevent accidents and foster a corporate culture based on awareness and shared responsibility.

GDS Ingegneria works in partnership with organisations recognised by the Regional Department for Vocational Training and Health of the Region of Sicily, ensuring that its courses comply with the relevant regulations (LD 81/08, Ministerial Decree 388/03, Presidential Decree 177/2011).

Each training programme is customised to the sector of activity, specific risks, and company roles, to ensure that participants gain practical skills and can implement safety procedures effectively.

  • General and specific training (Article 37 of LD 81/08)

    All workers must receive appropriate and up-to-date training on the principles of health and safety at work, in accordance with Article 37 of LD 81/08.
    We offer general and specialist courses covering job-related risks, the correct use of PPE, emergency procedures and safe working practices within the workplace.
    Investing in training helps to reduce risks, enhance performance, and generate shared value.

  • Training for safety supervisors: safety and responsibility (LD 81/08 – Law 215/2021)

    The updated legislation mandates a compulsory training course and a biennial refresher course of at least 12 hours, in accordance with the State-Regions Agreement of 17 April 2025. GDS Ingegneria’s courses train competent safety supervisors who can identify risks, monitor behaviour, and manage emergencies in accordance with company guidelines.

  • Training for emergency and first aid personnel

    Every company must appoint staff trained to manage emergencies, fires and first aid, as required by LD 81/08 and Ministerial Decree 388/03.

    • First Aid Officers: 16-hour courses (Group A) or 12-hour courses (Groups B and C), with refresher training every three years.
    • Fire safety officers: courses lasting between 4 and 16 hours, depending on the company’s risk level, including practical exercises on fire extinguishers and evacuation procedures. Our trainers take a practical and hands-on approach, using simulations and real-life case studies.

  • Training for work in confined spaces

    Confined spaces present specific risks that require technical expertise and operational readiness. GDS Ingegneria offers theoretical and practical courses in accordance with LD 81/08 and Presidential Decree 177/2011, including:

    • simulations in realistic environments
    • certified equipment
    • trainers with expertise in the industrial sector

    The courses are aimed at workers, first aiders and company health and safety officers who work in confined spaces or environments where pollution is suspected.

  • Customised courses and continuing professional development

    In addition to compulsory courses, we deliver training programmes tailored to sector-specific needs. Training thus becomes a strategic tool for growth and security, in line with regulatory and technological developments.
